Wishing all our ShopSE19 supporters a very Happy New Year. 2021 was another strange one, but we've been truly humbled by the outpouring of support for local businesses from our Crystal Palace community last year and since the pandemic started.
We've been overjoyed to see the arrival of some exciting new businesses and venues in 2021, in spite of all the challenges.
We are really proud of our Crystal Palace high streets and the strength and creativity of our local indies.
So, we hope that one of YOUR New Year intentions is to keep supporting and discovering more local businesses and pop-ups in Crystal Palace, whether it's for everyday essentials, items for your home, things to wear, gifts for your friends, family and loved ones, or the occasional treat for self.
The best way for residents and frequent visitors to get the lowdown right now is to make sure you are signed-up to get our monthly ShopSE19 newsletter direct to your inbox. A chance to give your eyes and scrolling muscles a little winter holiday. Zero FOMO and we promise you: we're not a spam factory. Once a month is pretty much the norm for our emails (sometimes less!)
For businesses
A reminder, FOR BUSINESSES we have a free to access hub-page for local businesses, where you can find and access information and local authority business support from all five London boroughs that cover the wider Crystal Palace area.
Important: if you own a business in the area, do sign-up for your own local authority update email. This is how you will be notified about any new business grants, support and funding opportunities available. You can find all sign-up forms for ALL boroughs on our hub page.
A reminder for SE19 businesses (with high street premises) to sign-up to our new affordable ShopSE19 membership scheme for additional benefits, local coordination and to help to keep the wheels turning for Shop SE19 for another year. Enquiries are welcome via email (info@ShopSE19.com). We'll be launching our online membership portal for enquiries and 2022 payments soon. Thank you to businesses who have joined already in 2021.
2021 Thank yous
A few more thank yous from us. Thanks to the behind-the-scenes ShopSE19 team for keeping us freshened-up with: updates on social media, our website, newsletters, emails and updates to local businesses and keeping on top of updates and partnerships in the community.
It's a year-round job and our team manages this alongside day-jobs and all manner of other responsibilities. Their (and your) support and commitment makes a huge difference.
We like to keep it properly local at Shop SE19
Thank you to the local artists and designers who helped us in 2021. David Vallade for our illustrated Reopening campaign in April 2021 and a steady flow of seasonal images since then. Helen Desai (Lady Crimplene) for our genius new Town Map. And Kathryn Corlett who reimagined our SE19 Lates branding into an eye-catching Blue Christmas.
Claire & Nicole from Social Style Pro have been curating our ShopSE19 Instagram account throughout 2021, supplying lovely photos, uncovering gems and getting the local lowdown. We'll be springing back into Insta action soon. Make sure to give us a follow @ShopSE19. We're on Twitter and Facebook too.
Our website is getting a little 2022 update and we'll be showcasing Official Shop SE19 members real soon.
