SE19 Lates returns: Thursday Late night shopping on 2, 9, 16 December 2021
It's important to give our community more opportunities to support our local businesses and space out their shopping trips, so we are co-ordinating THREE designated late night shopping evenings in Crystal Palace.
Independent shops and venues have been invited to extend their hours until 8pm or later on three Thursdays in December, so that you can treat yourself to a stress-free local evening out, shopping with some of our indie traders and enjoying some great SE19 hospitality.
We kept it simple this year, because... well, you know what... and the possibility of needing to modify plans at short notice, but we're very pleased to be here for you all and to have our doors open and some new venues indoors and outside to enjoy!
So choose your Palace evening or evenings and come and join us.
We want you all to have the opportunity to enjoy a spacious evening stroll or two or three around Crystal Palace, supporting our local businesses and getting some special gifts ticked off your lists. And maybe a mince pie and a cup of good cheer.

What about Plan B?
When we planned SE19Lates this year, we knew that this year would need to be different and we designed it accordingly, taking into account possible last-minute changes.
Independent businesses need our support more than ever and we are all grateful to be open and serving our community this Christmas.
Rather than planning ONE single large gathering at one location, we have teamed-up with traders to create a series of small-scale, short-stay mini shopping experiences; with multiple venues on each street, so that no single place becomes too crowded and overwhelmed. There will always be alternative places to visit and shop.
We arranged THREE nights rather than the usual two to give extra flexibility to shoppers and businesses.
With thanks to the team at Haynes Lane, we also included some new outdoor shopping options this year.
Through the various stages of lockdown and reopening in 2020/21, our local traders have become very used to managing safety, ventilation, sanitisation and customer comfort in their premises. You are in capable hands.
What we ask of you:
Please wear a mask indoors and in crowded places, unless eating/drinking
Wear a mask when using public transport
Be mindful of the safety and comfort of others shopping or enjoying the event
For additional peace of mind: take a lateral flow test.
Stay at home if you are feeling unwell or have Coronavirus symptoms
Definitely enjoy yourself.
We are very grateful that you are choosing to support our local businesses at this crucial time of year.
Shopping local is kinder to our planet. It boosts our local community and economy.
Local neighbourhood town centres can offer a great experience inside and out at this time of year.
