All you need to know for our opening night on 1st December
We open our season of festive activities on 1 December 2022 with a night of twinkling lights, community, song and Christmas magic planned around Crystal Palace. There's something for everyone.
This is the evening where many businesses will be ready to share their Christmas windows and lighting. Looking for an early preview? Look out for shop window displays taking shape and finishing touches.
Come, mingle and join us at Westow House from 6pm. This is an open invitation to business owners, staff and members of our local community.
Westow House launch event, Thursday 1st December
Opening address from 6:15pm, with special guests Mayor of Croydon Jason Perry and Cllr Scott Roche.
There will be performances from two fantastic community choirs.
Palace Acappella, led by Eleanor Rastall from 6:30pm where we will light-up Westow House garden together to celebrate the start of this year's SE19 Lates. Come and get involved with our light-up moment.
And please stay on if you can, from 7:30 indoors, there will be a performance from The Renegades.and plenty of festive merriment to enjoy.
Performances are FREE to attend, please support Westow House by buying a drink from the bar.

Around the Triangle
Christmas is always a busy time. The Bookseller Crow will be hosting a must-see event where Ellinor Michel from Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs will be talking about her new co-authored book. Tickets here. and are just £5, drink included.
Have a wander and admire the freshly decorated windows and choose some weekend destinations. Note, the majority of our official late night shopping venues will be celebrating with us at Westow House and late night Thursday shopping gets going on 8th and 15th December.
Stop off for a drink or meal and enjoy the hospitality on offer all around Crystal Palace. Wander down to enjoy the newly topped Gipsy Hill Tree, whose festive performance programme is getting started on 1 December too, with a little festive brass.
Come back to the Triangle on Thursdays 8th and 15th December to see our local independent businesses at their festive best and ready to welcome you for shopping. By 22 December, we're hoping may of you will be in the mood for another last dash to collect gifts.
