Tier 2 for SE19

A huge thank you to our local traders who are doing a tremendous job adapting and staying on top of the changes needed as the whole of London moved into a 'high' state of alert on 17 October 2020.

It's a difficult time for everyone. Your patience, kindness and co-operation is really appreciated.

The priority for all is to keep our local Crystal Palace community safe and welcome people to our shops and venues safely.

It's good to see that Covid-Secure activities and workshops can continue at venues like Upper Norwood Library Hub, The Paxton Centre and A L'Etage 2, and others, along with streaming programmes from places unable to run their full programmes of live events, like The Bookseller Crow. Keep an eye on their socials or sign-up for their newsletters for updates and please support them.

We have wonderful local venues with outdoor space, where you can still follow the Rule of Six and meet outside with friends and family beyond your household bubbles. Our local shops and outdoor markets are working hard to manage the flow of customers and have good, easy to follow systems in place allowing you to browse comfortably without needing to travel further afield for shopping.

Thank you for continuing to follow the guidelines on sanitising, wearing masks indoors and keeping a safe distance from other customers and staff.

Local councils and licensing authorities are keeping businesses up-to-date on regulations and changes and support is available where needed from councils on outstanding questions.

Businesses have been encouraged to sign-up to e-newsletters for regular updates.

Here are some simple visual guidelines on what Tier Two and the new restrictions mean in practice.

Thank you for continuing to support our local traders in Crystal Palace, it means the world to them.
