Bring the Family to #SE19Lates

Updated: Dec 16, 2019

We wanted to make shopping with younger families more fun and less stressful this year, with thoughtful extra treats along the way to keep our younger guests entertained and motivated! Most of our official #SE19Lates venues are open all day on 12th & 19th December. The after-dark #SE19Lates special activities all start from 5pm.

Pick up a flyer from one of our official venues

Woo-hoo 19th December is Not A School Night for most. Why not grab an early pizza treat or a snack in one of the cafes and then start the trail around the Triangle. It’s all walkable with easy public transport options by bus, with plenty to see and enjoy on your way all around the Triangle.

Come and meet Santa at 5pm for #SE19Lates. Santa will be out of his grotto and giving an audience for his little fans and any members of the Crystal Palace Nice List in the Upper Norwood Library Hub between 5 and 6pm on both 12 & 19 December. You might get the chance to get a photo, hear one of his stories, get the lowdown on some elf gossip or an update on important North Pole activities…

You can also book a separate fabulous visit to Santa in his magical book-themed grotto at the library.

There are some beautiful shop windows to look at all around the Triangle, which look extra special in the dark. Choose your favourite and post a photo. We love the A L’Etage 2 advent tree and daily reveals on Westow Hill. Go and see it.

Still feeling hungry + also adventurous: Reunion Café, Westow Street is open for both evenings with pop-up chefs and serving Trinidadian food on the 12th Dec and 19th Dec is Burger Night (Angus Beef, Chicken, Veggie and Vegan options on the menu).

Pick up David Vallade's specially commissioned #SE19Lates Climb The Transmitter At Christmas boardgame, for FREE from many of our official venues. Look out for it. It's a colouring activity and simple mini-game. Share your completed masterpiece on Twitter or Instagram, don't forget to hashtag it #SE19Lates.

Perfect cold-weather boredom buster, or pit-stop activity while you browse and shop.

Aaand, if that wasn’t enough before bedtime, you can visit illustrator David Vallade at our #SE19Lates sponsor Martin & Co Estate Agent on Church Road and make a badge or a Sphinx, and colour, build, colour and play the brand new Transmitter mini game.

Join in and check out the festive music schedule at Westow Street Green outside Sainsbury’s and our fabulous new community Christmas Tree at the top of Belvedere Road nr. Brown & Green Triangle branch.

There's a Choir Crawl happening with Crystal Palace's very own Welcome Choir on Church Road on 12th December, starting at the Christmas tree at 7pm. More singing round the Christmas Tree on 19th December, from 7pm.

Want to stay out longer? There's also relaxed indoor acoustic music at the Library after 7:30pm for older family members who'd like to round off their evening with some quality tunes.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 12th & 19th December! Pick up a flyer and map in any participating official venue, and browse the rest of our site for more info www.se19lates.com
